Sweet Recipes – Marana, AZ

• 2 1/4 cups Flour
• 1 tsp. Baking soda
• 1 tsp. Salt
• 1 cup Unsalted Butter
• 2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
• 2/3 cup Brown Sugar-firmly packed
• 1 egg
• 1 egg yolk
• 2 Tbsp. Maple syrup
• 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
• 12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. In the bowl of a mixer, beat together the butter, granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the whole egg and egg yolk, maple syrup and vanilla. Gradually add the flour mixture, beating just until smooth and scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. With a spoon, stir in the chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate 2-6 hours. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake on lightly greased baking sheet 8-10 minutes until golden brown.

Crust

• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/4 cup sugar

Filling

• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 Tablespoons lemon juice
• 3 Tablespoons grated lemon rind
• 2 Tablespoons flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

For the crust: Blend the flour, butter and sugar and press into a 9x9 pan. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden.

For the filling: Blend the eggs, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon rind. Mix the flour and baking powder together then add to the lemon mixture. Lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees. Pour the filling over the hot crust and bake 20 minutes. Cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

• 1 1/2 cups Flour
• 2 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
• 1 1/4 cups Milk
• 1 Egg
• 1 tsp Vanilla
• 3 Tbsp Butter (melted)
• Optional mix ins: 1 cup dark chocolate chips; 1 cup fresh blueberries; 1 cup chopped strawberries; 1 cup sliced bananas.

Mix all dry ingredients together in a medium size mixing bowl, make a well in the center and add syrup, milk, egg, vanilla. Stir just to combine, add melted butter and whisk lightly. Some lumps will remain, allow to sit for 5 minutes before cooking. Heat a cast iron griddle on medium heat. Pour ¼ cup of batter 1 inch apart. Cook until bubbles appear on top, and edges are cooked, turn and cook another 30 seconds or until golden brown.

• 6 oz unsweetened chocolate
• 4 oz. semi sweet chocolate
• 3/4 cup Butter
• 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 Tbsp vanilla
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 5 eggs
• 1 1/2 cup flour
• 8 oz. chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat oven to 350. Melt the unsweetened & semi-sweet chocolates in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Let cool. In a stand mixer, beat butter until smooth, add sugar and mix. Add cooled chocolate, vanilla, and salt. Add eggs one at a time and mix until combined. Add flour. Stir in chocolate chips if using. Bake in lightly greased 9x12 baking dish for 35-40 minutes. Check with toothpick, it should be slightly gooey, but set and will harden while cooling. Do not overcook. Cool before cutting.
